Berger Picard du Bon Mauvais

Bon Mauvais. Wicked Good Dogs!

Bienvenue á Berger Picard du Bon Mauvais! Maison du bons chiens mauvais.

We started in the search for the perfect dog...a dog that had the smarts, the looks, the obedience, just the right drive to do agility, or hang out all day if that's what we're doing..

Our dogs go and do everything with us!

Our journey led us to the Picard: smart, easy to care for, just the right amount of energy, sociable, and a true breed worthy of promoting and protecting. We were incredibly lucky in finding a fantastic breeder here in the states who helped us find just the right male to bring back from France to help expand the lines. A group went over to France for the nationals, and we were most fortunate to get a pup from a wonderful litter. The sire from that litter, Veig de Stephieci, went on to win his CAC at the nationals that year.

We are responsible owners and breeders and have signed our parent club's breeder Code of Ethics. Chaudron has had his hips PENNHip certified, as well as CERF exam pending. He has also participated in research genome trials at UC Davis.

Cau is registered with the UKC as well as AKC Foundation Stock Service Registry. Our plans for him are to compete in Conformation, Obedience, Herding, and hopefully Agility.

I am also a lifetime member of the American Berger Picard Club. I have competed in agility and rally with our other dogs, hold a Registered Nurse and Vet Tech License, and am finishing another nursing degree. I have volunteered in foster and rescue work, and currently hold the position of Rescue Director for our Picard Club. My husband is puppy raiser extraordinaire and works as a plumber. We currently have 5 dogs, 6 parrots, and 2 ferrets.

Please check back often for updates on our dog's show careers, stud availability, and new additions to our household.
